How to add additional sheets/pages in a single SmartDraw file?

In MS Visio, you can multiple sheets in a single file. Can I do the same in SmartDraw? I know about the Layers. But it is different.

    Dear User,

You can have a multi-page work area in SmartDraw as defined below, but that we do not offer the tabbed document option in SmartDraw files like Visio does.

SmartDraw 2009 has a single, unlimited work area that automatically expands to accommodate your drawing.  By default the “Print on One Page” command is turned on which means SmartDraw will shrink your drawing down to the actual page size you are printing to, no matter how large the drawing is in SmartDraw.

This feature will basically shrink and center your drawing to fit on one page.  The following will help you to create multiple pages:

    1) Click on the SmartDraw Icon in the upper left corner of your screen to open the SmartDraw Menu.

    2) Select Print, then Page Setup.

    3) Once Page Setup you will see in “Print on One Page*” under the Options field.  Uncheck this.

*Note:  Print on One Page is a default setting that will(no matter the number of pages) minimize and center your drawing to fit on one page.

    4) Select OK.

If your drawing is already taking up more than one page, you will now see scored lines in your drawing outlining page breaks.

You may need to resize your drawing to fit within the pages.

From there go to the Page Tab and select Work Area:

Once in the Work Area window:

    1. You can set your Pages Across and/or your Pages Down to accommodate how many pages you need.

    2. Press Okay.

If you have any other questions about this, or need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to call or email.

    Regards,

    SmartDraw Support
