Is it possible to dublicate entire branches of a mind map?

    Hi there,

does anybody know if it is possible to dublicate entire branches of a mind map and attach it to another topic (not move it - it should remain at the previous branch and additionally I want to attach the same branch to another topic)?

I have many processes in which the second or third step is the same and I would like to avoid writing the same again and again if that´s possible.

    Thanks for an answer!

    Brigitte,

Sort of.  What we mean by that is it is a workaround that you have to do on a right side or left side basis.  You cannot go from the left side to the right side and vice versa.  So that said:

    1) Click the round SmartDraw Menu Button and choose "Options > Allow Lines to Link"

    2) Select the branch you wish to duplicate and do a Ctrl+D (Duplicate) command.

    3) Drag the duplicated branch by clicking and dragging the branch connector line and drag it into position.

    4) While the branch connector line is still selected click the control point where it links to the shape and drag it to the shape you wish to link it to and you should see it link.

    See if that helps.

    Regards,

    Dear Support Team,

thanks for that. Even though it is not perfect because it is not possible to flip the handle vertically (when a branch is originally from the left hand side and has to go to the right hand side) the workaround saved me a lot of time for re-writing the specific items.

    Thanks & regards,

    Brigitte
