Problems when exporting to MS Word 2007 and/or MS Excel 2007

Hi all

I'm using SmartDraw 2010 and I have an issue when I export to MS Word 2007 and/or MS Excel 2007.

I.e. when I choose to export to Word, Word is opening up only a blank document. Nothing else is happening. I do not see my i.e. flowchart.

Do I need to configure something in Word and Excel?

What operating system are you using?  If you do a Ctrl+A (Select All) and manually copy and paste the diagram into Word or Excel, does that work?

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP3.

The Copy/Paste works fine. There is just this issue when I use the respective buttons or when I use the Export Menu.

But I now found out, that when the export function (via button or via menu) is actived a second time, without closing the blank Word or Excel document opened during the first export try, the flowchart is copied into Word respective to Excel.

What could cause that is some sort of issue initially opening MS Office where it is unable to complete the insert object command.  Difficult to say why that would occur though.  Does your copy of Office start really slowly?  When you use that Export button in SmartDraw does it start really slowly?  Have you tried running any necessary updates to MS Office?

No my office opens fast.

I now tried with a opened blank document. And that worked fine.

So I agree with you that it could be in relation with launching Word or Excel and opening a blank document.

But what is strange is that I do not have this behaviour with PowerPoint.

BTW, all MS Office Updates are done.
