Link Job Descriptions to Org Charts
Org charts are key tools for communicating within an organization. SmartDraw makes org charts even more useful by allowing you to link elements of your org chart to other files—like job descriptions, for example. You can even link to other SmartDraw files, to websites, or to a program. What’s more, it’s super easy to do.
How to link job descriptions and other files to org charts:
Step 1
Open the org chart you’ve created with SmartDraw and select the box you’d like to link a file to.
Step 2
Click on “HyperLink” on the Insert tab.
Step 3
In the dialogue box, select “Document,” browse to the location of your file, select it and click “OK.”
Step 4
That box is now hyperlinked to the document. When you click the blue + icon, the job description document you just linked to will open up.
