    Annotate a Web Page

Business owners often ask the graphic design team or IT department to make cosmetic changes to their company’s website. But these changes can be very difficult to accurately communicate. And unclear direction can result in round after round of revisions, and a lot of wasted time and energy.

The web annotation feature in SmartDraw 2009 makes it exceptionally easy to say exactly what you want. You can now automatically capture images of existing web pages and easily add your own captions and notes—a highly effective way to clearly communicate changes with your web development team.

Here’s how to annotate a web page in four easy steps:

    Step 1

Select the “Web Design” category from the SmartTemplates list on the left and click on the “Blank Web Page Annotation” template.

    Step 2

Click on the “Insert Web Page” Button ”

    Step 3

Go to the Desired Webpage and then Press the “Capture Webpage” button

    Step 4

Add Your Annotations by dragging notation boxes from the SmartPanel onto your work area, and typing in your note.
